The Government says it can't afford to save the environment alone, and needs the help of private industry 'investment'. Which really, as Polly and Richard explain, is just an excuse to offset continued environmental destruction.
Market-based policies have failed spectacularly when it comes to aged care, disability care and saving the Murray River. Neoliberalism can’t and won’t fix our climate crisis or save our endangered species from extinction.
