Asustor ADM 4.0 BETA
Asustor NAS users, there’s a brand new operating system on the horizon – ADM 4.0 – and it’s now available as a beta for early adopters. ADM 4.0 brings a redesigned interface, faster performance, and feature upgrades that benefit power users, creators, and everyday NAS owners. One of the biggest highlights is the removal of the license requirement for exFAT support – great news for photographers and videographers using large-capacity SD cards and external drives. This is now fully free and native in ADM 4.0.
Other major improvements include:
• Revamped admin panel UI with dark mode and custom theme support
• Improved universal search across files, settings, and apps
• Upgraded OpenSSL integration for enhanced HTTPS and self-signed certificates
• Samba 4.12 update for better MacOS compatibility and Time Machine support
• Enhanced web server controls and Btrfs filesystem stability features

• More reliable Wake-on-LAN and Easy Connect remote access
• Redesigned Task Manager, Snapshot Manager, and Easy Sync tools
Keep in mind, this is a beta version – not everything is fully stable. Some features like VirtualBox, Surveillance Center, and USB TV dongles may not work as expected. Always back up your data before installing the beta OS. You can roll back or reconfigure later, but testing beta firmware should only be done with caution.
