The Elder Scrolls: Online is an upcoming epic MMO from ZeniMax Online Studios, which will be the first Elder Scrolls game to allow players to explore the series' universe with others. Like previous Elder Scrolls games, The Elder Scrolls: Online will be set on the world of Nirn. Unlike previous games, it will feature online, mulitplayer action.
During the Second Era, about 1000 years before the events in Skyrim, Tamriel descended into a four-way war. In an attempt to conquer the continent, the Imperials -- natives to the province of Cyrodiil -- made a deal with the Daedric prince Molag Bal. At the beginning of the game, players will join one of three factions that not only oppose the Imperials and Molag Bal's undead army, but will also battle one another for the imperial throne. Three different alliances. Three different philosophies. Three different ways to approach the game. Which will you choose?
In your journey through the elder scrolls online, you are bound to happen by some locked chests. For those of you who don't know how to crack em like a pro, I have a handy tip or two, just you.
In order to pick the lock you need lockpicks, that can be bought from vendors or obtained from chests, drawers, boxes, wardrobes scattered all over the world.
How to pick a lock in TESO
Position the lockpick over a pin. You can position over any pin you want, there is no particular order in which you have to pick the pins.but left to right is advised unless you are like myself, who is superstitious.
Press and hold down your left mouse button until the pin starts wiggling
Release the left mouse button as soon as it starts wiggling or you could break your lockpick. If you release too early or too late the pin will reset, and you have to start over with the same pin.
If you're successful, the pin stays locked down when you release the mouse button
Move the lockpick over the next pin and repeat
For harder chests, you have less time to do that, thus, try not to repeat any of the pins, try to do them doing the first time.
Don't forget that you have limited time for this activity, until the timer bar empties, or the lock piking will fail, and you'll have to start over. Some locks are more difficult to pick than others, so practice with easier ones. Practice makes perfect, so in time you'll learn to release the mouse button even before wiggling starts.
