DIY Indian Runner Duck House: Easy and Beautiful!
Here's the lovely little hut we built for our Indian Runner ducks. You know, those slug-eating ducks, so cute with their sly grins!
This shelter would also make a lovely chicken coop, if you added the perches our hens love... but we chose to give them a separate house. Mostly recycled materials, a few ideas, and some modest DIY skills, and voilà! From the stilts to the roof, including the maintenance hatch and access ramp, not forgetting the pretty window (which doesn't provide ventilation, but that's handled by small heart-shaped holes and an air vent at the top).
