Elden Ring - Varré's Questline (FULL NPC QUEST WALKTHROUGH w/ COMMENTARY)
*RETURN BACK TO FIRST STEP GRACE FOR THE BRAVO GESTURE AFTER HE MOVES TO ROSE CHURCH*
This begins my Elden Ring Questline Series with video number one, Varres Quest.
In order to start this quest, you need to speak to him after you have exited the first area of the game. He will inform you to approach the Stormveil caste and seek Godrick The Grafted. Doing so and killing Godrick will progress his quest to the next step.
After that is done go back to him at the first step starting grace and speak to him. When you have your first Great Rune he will inform of you to go see the Two Fingers in the now newly opened section of the round table hold. Teleport there and exhaust Finger Reader Enias dialogue and interact with the Two Fingers to recieve the “Rapture” gesture.
Doing that will consequently make Varre move outside of the Rose Church in the Liurnia Lake. This is a natural progression from defeating Godrick The Grafted because this area is just after Storm Veil Castle. The Rose Church is located on the island that is the Southern Western part of the lake.
Speak to him here to recieve 5 Bloody Fingers. Use these to invade 3 worlds in order to progress his questline to the next step. You can either die, quit out or defeat the host, either way they still count towards the quest.
Once that is done, return to Varre and speak with him. He will pass onto the player the Lord of Bloods favour item which is a blank cloth. He asks of you that you soak the cloth in a maidens blood and return it to him. This however to him seems like an impossible task because, you are maidenless..
There are 2 availbe dead maidens on the map:
Church of Inhibition: Past the Frenzied Flame Village just up the valley at the highest point, you will get invaded here. The dead maiden will be slumped over on a chair near the Sacred Tear.
Chapel of Anticipation: On the dead body in the starting room of the game that you get the messages finger from. To get here you need to travel to the Four Belfrys and get the Imbued Stonesword Key from the very top belfry chest. Go into the portal with the anticipation message at the front of it and proceed to kill the boss from the beginning of the game. After this go into the room that you started in and on the left side of the room, soak the maidens blood in the cloth varre gave to you.
Return the blood-soaked cloth to varre and he will give the player the Pureblood Knight’s Medal that allows access to the lategame area and lategame boss Mohg, Lord of Blood. Once here, he will invade the player 2 times in the river of blood. Once east of the first grace, and then second the farthest southeast of the grace in the river.
Once you acquire Varres set from the 2 invasions, you have to invade his world. His world can be invaded by progressing up the ruins from the first grace, all the way through the dark room and his sign will be on the floor at the end of the dark room. Kill him, then speak to him on the floor of your world to obtain the bloody bouqette strength/arcane weapon/
