Not all models are tall, skinny, and statuesque. The height requirements for female models are between 5’9 - 5’11 and for male models it’s 5’11 - 6’3, however there are tons of models who fall below or above the height requirements and are still successful in the industry. Before jumping into the careers of the most successful short models, according to the fashion industry. Let's talk about pioneers like Kate Moss, Twiggy, Marilyn Monroe who were all undersized but were still able to have successful careers as models. Fall an inch or even half inch below the requirement and you'll be considered "short" even though you are taller than the average person. If you work where your strengths play out then you can be more successful.
In this video, I share some tips for how you can still be successful as a short model.
How to Start Modeling

One of the best ways to become a model is to start by attending agency open calls or doing an online submission as some of the models listed in this video did to begin their careers. Most of the Top Female Models in the world today are represented by IMG Models, DNA Models, Next Models, Society Model Management, and Elite Model Management.
