It will go into production this fall and reach dealerships by the end of the year with an estimated starting price of $54,000. The Optiq is built on the BEV3 architecture, similar to the Chevrolet Equinox EV, and seats five.
The new electric crossover features a dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain, delivering 300 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. It includes an 85-kilowatt-hour battery, offering an estimated range of 300 miles on a full charge. When using a DC fast charger, it can add up to 79 miles of range in 10 minutes.
Standard features include a 33-inch diagonal LED display with 9K resolution, adaptive cruise control, blind zone steering assist, and a 19-speaker AKG audio system. The Optiq also comes with three years of free Super Cruise in the U.S., GM's advanced driving assistance system. The cargo capacity is 26 cubic feet with the second row up, expanding to 57 cubic feet when folded down.
