The Lyres of Ur are ancient stringed instruments discovered in southern Iraq, dating back to around 2600-2400 BCE. Adorned with bull's head decorations and intricate inlay work, these lyres represent some of the earliest known musical instruments. They offer insights into the musical and cultural practices of the Sumerians during the Early Dynastic period and are currently exhibited at the British Museum in London.
