Combinations and Permutations Formulas in Excel
This tutorial shows how to use the Excel functions for Combinations and Permutations, =COMBIN and =PERMUT, to easily have Excel calculate these two counting methods. The formulas are also demonstrated using hand calculations The combination formula is used when the order of all possible outcomes is NOT important. The permutation formula is used when the order is important.
