Kia Ceed JD door stop replacement
In this video, I'm replacing the front door stop. The door wouldn't stay open at all.
I didn't use the original one, but the front one from a Solaris—it's cheaper and fits all four doors. The only caveat is that if you're installing it on the front Solaris doors, you'll need to buy additional bolts, as the standard stops have studs and nuts. Also, the standard front stops are heavier than the Solaris ones. The standard ones have a spring and a locking element with a roller, while the Solaris ones just have locking elements, just like the rear ones in the Sid. Now the door holds perfectly.
Original door stops:
• Front left 79380A2000
• Front right 79390A2000
• Rear left 79480A2000
• Rear right 79490A2000
Solaris replacement:
• Front left 793801R000
• Front right 793901R000
Original bolts: 1129306203, 2 bolts per stop.
