Java just released a new version of Java 1.7.0_40 (1.7.0.40). If you had problems getting java to work on Chrome 29 for Windows 7, then try reinstalling Java.
If that didn't work, then you can check in Chrome Browser to make sure the add-on is running.
1) Go to the address bar and type:
chrome://plugins/
2) Scroll down and look for Java entries. If you see an "Enable" link.. click on this to enable the java plugin. Otherwise.. if "Disable" is showing.. the plugin is already enabled.
For the long way of getting to the plugins page.
1) Go to menu bar and click on the settings icon. Select "Settings"
2) Scroll down and select "Show advanced settings"
3) Under Privacy, click "Content Settings"
4) Scroll down to "Plug-ins" and click on "Disable Individual plug-ins.."
5) Scroll down and look for Java entries. If you see an "Enable" link.. click on this to enable the java plugin. Otherwise.. if "Disable" is showing.. the plugin is already enabled.
When done.. close browser and reboot chrome browser.
