ESRGAN is a free and open source AI image upscaler.
IF YOU ARE DOWNLOADING THE ORIGINAL FILE
EXAMPLE BAT FILE COMMANDS -
(NOTE the .bat files, and folders/images the bat files are pointing to must be in the SAME DIRECTORY as the main executable (realesrgan-ncnn-vulkan), or it will not work.
Create a new text file, enter the appropriate line below into it, and save it as a .bat file (File - Save as - Save as type dropdown tab (All files) - BATNAME.bat - Save)
1. UPSCALE_animevideov3_x2 - (Upscale at X2 using the animevideov3 AI model - For 2D / Cartoony images)
realesrgan-ncnn-vulkan.exe -i input -o outputfolder -n realesr-animevideov3 -s 2 -f jpg
2. UPSCALE_animevideov3_x4 - (Upscale at X4 using the animevideov3 AI model - For 2D / Cartoony images)
realesrgan-ncnn-vulkan.exe -i input -o outputfolder -n realesr-animevideov3 -s 4 -f jpg
3. UPSCALE_realesrgan-x4plus - FOR PHOTOS - (Upscale at X4 using the realesrgan-x4plus model (For photos, or artwork with realistic artstyle)
realesrgan-ncnn-vulkan.exe -i input -o output -n realesrgan-x4plus -s 4 -f jpg
4. UPSCALE_realesrgan-x4plus-anime - (Upscale at X4 using the realesrgan-x4plus-anime (Something in between the animevideov3 model and realesrgan model, or just a better animevideov3, not sure)
realesrgan-ncnn-vulkan.exe -i input -o output -n realesrgan-x4plus-anime -s 4 -f jpg
