Polyverse Gatekeeper now has the ability to send MIDI CC data, allowing it to control parameters of your DAW as well as other plugins. Here is how to set up the new feature in Logic Pro:
1. Let’s first start by opening an instrument channel and loading Gatekeeper as a MIDI plugin.
2. Next, load an instrument or MIDI-controlled effect in the instrument slot. Today, I’m using Polyverse Comet.
3. Right click on Gatekeeper’s envelope background and choose “Env 1 MIDI Out” and select “Set to CC 1”. Or if you prefer to use a custom CC number, you can do so under “Select CC” in the menu.
4. Open your instrument or MIDI-controlled effect. If you set a custom CC number, here’s when you’ll connect things manually. This time, though, I’m going to click “learn” to automatically connect to incoming MIDI CC.
And that’s it. Enjoy controlling synthesizers, effects, or elements of your DAW with Gatekeeper.
