Forging the Iron Oak - Part II
Welcome back to the making of the Iron Oak sculpture! In this video I lay down the foundation for the core and structure of the tree. This sculpture was commissioned by Mission San Antonio located here in California. This large 12 ft. sculpture will commemorate the many donors who supported the Mission's recent retrofit. This will take me several months build, so I am taking you along for the whole journey!
Mission San Antonio de Padua - established third in founding order of the 21 California Missions on July 14, 1771. Today, the Mission sits serenely against the foothills of the Santa Lucia Mountain Range, appearing much as it did upon its founding.
