This video describes the methods used, and the results of a test I did to determine the scaling of AP on awakening damage as well as the effect of main hand weapon and off hand crystals on awakening damage.

Damage scales linearly with AP, with no evidence for a tier effect. The tri kzarka main hands contributes about 41AP over the elsh longsword. Slightly less than the 50% predicted, which would be 48, this may be in part because i forgot to include the + species damage of the elsh sword, whoops. The off hand attack power +5 crystal functions exactly the same as 5 AP.
