Where to find free datasets online
Looking for free datasets to practice data analysis?
You don’t need to create every dataset yourself. There are many platforms where students, beginners, researchers, and aspiring data analysts can find publicly available datasets for learning and projects.
In this video, I’ll show you some useful places where you can search for datasets online, including Kaggle, Google Dataset Search, Data.gov, and other open-data platforms. Google Dataset Search, for example, is specifically designed to help people discover datasets hosted across thousands of repositories on the web.
You’ll learn:
• Where to find datasets for data-analysis practice
• How to search for datasets based on your topic
• What types of datasets you can work with
• How free datasets can help you build your portfolio
• Why practicing with real-world data is important
• How to choose a dataset that is suitable for your project
Whether you're just starting your data-analysis journey or you're looking for data for your next project, knowing where to find good datasets can save you a lot of time.
Start with the data. Ask the right questions. Find the story hidden inside it.
