HOW TO CELEBRATE THE SPRING EQUINOX: Bringing magic into marking the transition to Spring (2021).
In this video I will be talking about Spring Equinox and Ostara and sharing with you some simple ways to mark this transition. Learn about the origins, symbolism and activities you can do either as a solitary practitioner or with your family and friends.
Stay tuned to the end as I will be sharing a simple ritual to bring a bit more magic to the day. As promised here are the words used for the ritual which you can adapt to suit.
“At this time of balance, at this time of awakening of the land, I come to celebrate the vernal equinox”
“The wheel of the year turns once more. The spring equinox arrives. Light and dark are equal and the soil begins to change. The earth awakens from slumber and new life springs once more”
“The sun draws ever closes touching our skin with its rays. The sky fills with light and warmth. The sun warms the land beneath my feet, giving life to all it touches. These candle flames represent the sun and welcome it back to the land".
Spring has come and for this I am thankful. The Divine is present all around. In the coolness of the rain, in the buds of the flowers, in the fertile fields waiting to be planted. In the sky above and the earth below. I give thanks, I am blessed. Welcome light and welcome spring”.
