Automate Power Bi data refresh with Power Automate
In this episode we’ll take a look at how you can use Power Automate to automate the refresh of a Power Bi dataset (semantic model).
First we’ll connect to an Excel on SharePoint Online as the data source. Then we’ll configure the flow in Power Automate. Once set up, whenever there is a change or new version of the Excel sheet it will trigger a refresh of the Power Bi dataset.
This method is a good way to decrease the time between a data update and a refresh compared to using scheduled refresh.
