Early in my racing career, I made the mistake of doing burnouts and overscrubbing front tires to warm up the surface of the tires. Ideally, you want to warm up tires slowly and consistently so that surface temperature rises with core temperature. The ONLY benefit to what I'm doing in the video is removing the chemical mold that makes brand new tires very slippery, but this naturally dissipates over time anyway.
