It's important to know our tools well, and one of the best way to do that is through limiting yourself to mixing with as few plugins as you can get away with and see what happens!
I have a ton of plugins, and it's always fun to try out new things, but another benefit of doing these videos is I usually focus on one plugin and really trying it out on lots of different sources and learning it well enough to (hopefully) speak intelligently about it and pass on some less obvious info. I've learned so much from making videos, but you don't have to start a youtube channel to put some of it into practice. I'll plan on doing some more organized videos on mixing in the future, so let me know in the comments what topics you'd like me to cover!
