Keeley Forsyth — "Photograph" | Live at Phoenix
UK-based composer and singer Keeley Forsyth performs a haunting rendition of “Photograph”, with cinematic direction from acclaimed Russian-born Australian filmmaker Alena Lodkina. Built upon sparse keyboard arrangements performed by Ross Downes, Forsyth’s music is centred around a singular, emotionally raw and magnetic vocal delivery, by turns devastating and uplifting. Her songs tell of high and low tides, of freedom and entrapment, of hard-won triumphs and the darker corners of domestic life. Paired with Lodkina’s striking directorial stylings, which have garnered high praise from The New Yorker and The Saturday Paper, Forsyth’s devastatingly vulnerable performance of “Photograph” comes to life within Phoenix Central Park.

Live at Phoenix is a live performance film series by Phoenix Central Park capturing stellar performances by exceptional artists. Running in parallel to Phoenix Central Park’s agenda-setting weekly free concerts, the series gives as much voice to the creatives behind the camera as it does the performers themselves. Each episode is a unique pairing of musician and filmmaker, resulting in an elevated performance inspired by the sculptural surrounds of The Nest. Live at Phoenix has featured Kelly Lee Owens, Liars, Superorganism, Genesis Owusu, EXEK, Jonti, IJALE, e4444e, Aphir, among many others.
