Nerf the G57? Battlefield 2042
Should the G57 pistol in Battlefield 2042 be nerfed? It might be a dumb question but I bring it up for a few reasons one of which is to offload this G57 footage. What is its best characteristic or attribute? Is it the rate of fire? The damage? Nope, it's the magazine size. You are given more chances with the G57 than you are with any of the other pistols because of that magazine size. More chances you need because of bad hitreg, console lag/warping, just straight missing, whatever, it's a pistol or sidearm that is above the rest because it's more forgiving in a game that is quite rough around the edges.
I bring up that point about the magazine size because it's sort of an issue across the board for all categories of weapons. Most people tend to stick to the one that provides either the most damage or most ammo per magazine. Like the AK-24 or SFAR with drum magazines or the PP-29, even when other weapons are superior in most ways I see a large majority using those types of weapons in their respective categories. Whether that is because the lower tick-rate is so flakey or inconsistent or some other backend nonsense the larger magazine weapons provide that buffer you need when things are going awry in the game although at the end of it you'll still probably get one-framed by some console player :P
Just bringing it up because a lot of people still cry and whine about wanting BF3 or BF4 remastered but neither of those games had such excessive magazine sizes in them. Besides mag dumping in both of those games didn't work well at most gun fight distances ( unless you played Operation Metro/Locker only and on top of that suppression and movement accuracy penalty ( in BF3 ) meant firing and getting back to cover fast. I mean I have no problem going back to either of those but I know the current generation couldn't handle it so I'm curious if people have really thought it through when asking for such things.
Side note, on the map Flashpoint when it rains I think they should have had that lower tunnel area flood with a foot or two of water so there is a temporary period of time where you can't place equipment/gadgets down there during the rainstorm. It's totally not because of my hatred for spawn beacons...
