What happened to GANG OF DRAGON?
Toshihiro Nagoshi, the legendary creator behind Yakuza / Like a Dragon, left SEGA after more than 30 years to begin a new chapter with Nagoshi Studio and the backing of NetEase.
Their first game, GANG OF DRAGON, was finally revealed in December 2025 — but only months later, Bloomberg reported that NetEase would stop funding the studio.
The game has not been officially cancelled or delayed, and its Steam page still lists it simply as “Coming Soon.”
So what happened — and will Nagoshi's Dragon ever get the chance to rise?
