Mechanic Tip: How to Remove Torx without Torx Bit
You won't believe what works on Torx screws...a simple flathead screwdriver can work in a pinch! Just find a slotted screwdriver that fits into the Torx slots and start turning. It helps to put light pressure into the bit to prevent cam out.
This trick will work on smaller and lower torqued torx screws, but if you're torx fastener is driven deep into material, this tool tip might become more of a challenge.
