FA 400 Update - It Works!
Update! Apologies folks! The FA 400 solder fume extractor I just reviewed and was not happy with due to low airflow and horrible motor noise is now working properly and I'm happy with the performance.
I don't know what I did to get it working, but after taking it apart to show the fan & motor in the review and then putting it all back together - the fan & motor are running as they should and the FA400 is now sucking the solder smoke like I was hoping it would. Much better than my little 90mm DIY smoke extractor fan.
Of course, the FA-400 should have worked properly out of the box and I'm sure most of them do. This is just my type of luck at work.
