AI may not destroy crypto by attacking blockchains directly. The bigger threat is that AI exposes and attacks everything around the blockchain: centralized websites, bridges, browser wallets, cloud hosting, APIs, admin dashboards, social engineering, phishing, and off-chain infrastructure.
In this video, I explain why most crypto projects are far more vulnerable than they appear. A blockchain might be decentralized, but if the website, wallet, bridge, exchange, database, or frontend is centralized and hackable, then the whole project can still collapse. We have already seen major crypto hacks, bridge exploits, wallet compromises, and projects ruined by security failures. AI makes all of this faster, cheaper, and more dangerous.
This is where Internet Computer Protocol stands apart. ICP allows websites, applications, data, computation, identity, and business logic to be built directly on-chain. With Caffeine AI, I can build websites directly on ICP instead of relying on the same centralized weak points most crypto projects still use.
I also talk about why Internet Identity, passkeys, on-chain hosting, and full-stack blockchain applications could become much more important as AI-driven cybercrime grows. If AI raises the security bar, most crypto may not be able to meet it without moving more of the stack on-chain.
Finally, I explain how AI pressure on the broader internet could create demand for what ICP makes possible: secure websites, hyperlocal social media, local dating platforms, creator-owned communities, and applications that are not dependent on centralized social platforms or vulnerable off-chain infrastructure.
This is not financial advice. I own ICP and stand to benefit if ICP goes up. I am sharing why I believe ICP solves a real problem that may become much more obvious as AI accelerates cybercrime and exposes crypto’s weakest links.
