Turn An Old Riding Mower Into An ATV? Yup, The MUTT-2 Is Doing Great After It's First Season.
This was last winter's project. I took a fairly well beat up Murray Widebody LT and converted it into a "Poorman's ATV". This is the 3rd time I've done this trick, and I think I've pretty well figured it out. With some love and creativity, these things can be made for cheap!
The main cost of a conversion like this is always going to be the tires. But now that I have invested in some, I can just swap them over to the next ride I make when this little tractor finally dies.
If money is tight, and you have the skills, A mower conversion like this is certainly worth the effort! I love mine for both work and play.
