Texturesd Crab in Procreate
Day #51 of #makingarteveryday #makingarteveryday2021. Today's prompt was crab. I collected Limoges boxes (Late 90’s-early 2000’s), and we went to a show at the Mall to get one signed and we picked a crab, wearing overalls. Kind of ridiculous, but extremely well painted and crafted! As a long time teacher, I also "identified" with Mrs. Crabbapple on the Simpsons😱. The reference photo was my own taken in Maine. A purple crab on a rocky beach filled with barnacles! I made my own background texture from the barnacles , my own burlap texture brush from a photo, some of my alcohol ink brushes and #VisualTimmy Timmy texture brushes(moon boot shader and others). I obsessed on Skillshare this morning and watched 4 tutorials on using textures and overlays. (Jennifer Nichols , Brenda Bakker Nic Squirrell and Stefanie Fizer Coleman). #JenniferNichols
