Friends, hello! Zhora Revizorro is in touch and some time ago we visited the ARTDOM 2024 exhibition for interior designers, where many interesting expositions of no less interesting companies were presented, so we decided to divide the exhibition review into several series.
In the eighth and final episode of the ARTDOM 2024 exhibition review, we looked at the stand of 3 cool companies at once: the UNIKA møblar brand of designer and extremely aesthetic furniture, the BELSI brand of functional designer furniture for educational institutions, office and home, as well as the Belarusian brand studio of object design ZAPAZUHA and I took a short interview with their founder, architect and famous interior designer Mikhail Kurnosov.
We were the first to visit UNIKA møblar, where a nice employee of the company showed us really stylish pieces of furniture for the home and told us the ideas that led to their creation. It was very interesting: a chair that arose from the image of a woman's brooch and a chair similar to the character Sid from the cartoon Ice Age - this is something new, fresh and creative :)
The concept of the UNIKA møblar brand is based on the concept of awareness, conciseness and careful attitude to nature, which is fully embodied in their products. For designers and buyers of their furniture, UNIKA is a combination of individual aesthetics, ergonomics and comfort.

The BELSI Design stand presented furniture for schools and educational institutions, as well as offices and public spaces. I talked to the co-founder of the brand Alexey Sibilev and he told us that their functional furniture is based on research and experiments that they conducted, for example, with teachers in schools.
As a result, the BELSI team managed to develop furniture that reduced the burden on teachers with their routine work with documents and reports several times, which ultimately allowed them to devote more time to students and their main calling - this is extremely commendable and worthy of respect!
Finally, we visited the stand of the ZAPAZUHA object design studio, whose office and production are located in Minsk, Belarus. The brand's philosophy is to develop and create animated objects about and for people. Design for ZAPAZUHA is a way of thinking and an honest dialogue with the viewer, and not a pursuit of status and "luxury".
At the company's stand, we met its founder Mikhail Kurnosov - an architect, interior and object designer and took a short interview with him. Mikhail told me that he affectionately calls his creations, furniture and interior items "creatures" - each of them has a spirit, character and history, which are ultimately embodied in such unusual, creative and comfortable pieces of furniture. We also talked about how Mikhail Kurnosov comes up with them, whether it brings in a good income, his projects, activities and other interesting things.
