The model of subscription services and "feature ready" hardware has begun to creep ever so subtly into many facets of our lives-- with automobiles and entertainment taking the lead, can you see musical instruments heading in the same direction? If you haven't noticed, we might already be going down that path. With more and more digital aspects of our craft (pedals, plug-ins) offering unlock-able and subscribe-able upgrades, we're here to ponder the implications that this might have on the bigger pieces of our rigs-- guitars and amplifiers.
