EDIBLE CRYSTALS & GEMSTONES RECIPE
Makes 1 1/2 trays of candy
INGREDIENTS
2 cups water
1 TBSP agar agar
4 cups sugar
flavoring, optional
food coloring
DIRECTIONS
Bring water and agar agar to a boil. Once agar is dissolved, add in the sugar.
For best results place a candy thermometer in the mix and cook mixture over medium heat until mixture reaches 230 degrees Fahrenheit. I did not have a candy thermometer & I just boiled mine for 5 minutes
Pour into a greased glass dish (13x9) or several small glass dishes.
Put mixture in refrigerator for 2 hours or let mixture set in a cool dry place for at least 4 hours.
Cut or rip the set mixture apart and place on parchment.
Let sit for at least 3-4 days until the outside becomes crystallized.
