A viewer recently asked me:
“If you’re using Single Button Assistant… why do I never actually see you pressing it?”
Fair question.
So in this video I explain what I’m actually using:
Gnome Sequencer Enhanced (GSE).
GSE is a macro compilation addon that has existed in World of Warcraft for many years and has been downloaded millions of times. It does not play the game for you, add AI, automate mechanics, or make decisions.
What it does do is help organize in game macros and reduce some of the mechanical stress of managing large numbers of abilities.
I wanted to make this video and talk about why I personally use GSE.
For me, it helps reduce the stress and cognitive overload that can come with modern WoW gameplay while still allowing me to enjoy Mythic+, raiding, experimentation, and class design.
I also think addons like this can be genuinely helpful for:
players with anxiety or stress around rotations
players with physical limitations or dexterity issues
older gamers
casual players
people trying to learn a class
players who simply enjoy a smoother gameplay experience
To be very clear:
Learning a class traditionally and playing perfectly will always outperform a GSE setup.
This is not about maximum optimization.
It’s about accessibility, enjoyment, consistency, and finding ways to continue enjoying the game.
