SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is a remake of the 2003 game based on the animated series "SpongeBob SquarePants," developed by Purple Lamp Studios and published by THQ Nordic. Unlike the original, the updated version will feature multiplayer, updated graphics, and will also include cut content from the original.

Game Plot:
Plankton, in his latest attempt to steal the secret recipe for the Krabby Patty, creates the "Duplicatortron 3000," which allows him to create a massive army of robots. During their production, Plankton notices that one of the main levers is set to "Disobey," causing the robots to throw Plankton out of the Chum Bucket and wreak havoc throughout Bikini Bottom.
Meanwhile, at Pineapple's house, SpongeBob and Patrick are playing with toy robots. SpongeBob is upset that the robots aren't real, so Patrick takes a "magic" shell and wishes for the robots to become real. The next morning, SpongeBob notices that his house has been trashed by real robots. Later, outside, he encounters Plankton, who tells him that the robots appeared out of nowhere and kicked him out of the Chum Bucket. SpongeBob decides to help Plankton get back to his restaurant, while collecting golden spatulas and saving Bikini Bottom from robots (however, SpongeBob himself does not suspect that the robots are the work of Plankton).
