Using recurring and repeating tasks in Todoist is a great way to save time and stay on top of tasks that happen more than once.

The basic set up is the same as any other task, but when assigning a date or time you need to specify what the recurring “period” is.

For example, if you want a task to show up every day, you should type in “every day” in the date field.

For a task to show up at 9am on Thursdays you would type in “every Thursday at 9am”. Easy!

You can also set starting dates and ending dates, which are very handy features.

As an example of using end dates – think about if you had a project that needed something done every day this week but ended after that. Instead of having to remember to delete the recurring task you can set the date options to “every day ending [insert date here]” – just remember you don’t need the brackets!
