🚨 IMPORTANT Device & ROM Details:
Device: Samsung Galaxy S8 (Exynos Variant)
Codename: dreamlte
Custom ROM: crDroid (Based on Android 14) 🤯
Warning: This process involves flashing custom software (TWRP & Custom ROMs) and carries a high risk of data loss and potentially bricking your device. Proceed at your own risk. The files provided are ONLY for the Exynos Galaxy S8/S8+. If you have a different variant (e.g., S8+, Snapdragon), you must find your specific files.
🛠️ Step-by-Step Installation Guide
Follow these detailed steps shown in the video to successfully install Android 14 on your Galaxy S8!
Part 1: Device Preparation (On Phone) 📱
Check Unlockability: Confirm your device is not carrier-locked (some devices cannot be unlocked).
Enable Developer Options: Go to Software Information and tap the Build number 5 times.
OEM Unlocking: Go to Developer Options and toggle OEM Unlocking to ON (Crucial step!).
USB Debugging: Enable USB Debugging in Developer Options.
Part 2: PC Setup & Flashing TWRP 💻
PC Preparation: Install Samsung Drivers and Minimal ADB & Fastboot.
Connect Device: Connect your S8 to your PC and allow communication.
Boot to Download Mode: Open CMD in the ADB folder and type: adb reboot download
Open Odin: Launch the modified Odin Flasher tool.
Configure Odin: Go to Options and UNSELECT Auto Reboot.
Load TWRP: Click the AP button and select the twrp_dreamlte.tar file.
Flash Recovery: Click Start. Wait for the PASS! message.
Part 3: Installing crDroid (On TWRP Recovery) ⚙️
Enter TWRP: Press and hold Power + Bixby + Volume Up buttons simultaneously
Optional Backup: Go to Backup and select all partitions. Back up the full stock OS to your external SD card (Highly recommended!).
Wipe & Format:
Go to Wipe - Format Data and type yes to wipe internal storage.
Go to Advanced Wipe and select partitions (Dalvik/Art Cache, System, Data, Internal Storage) and Swipe to Wipe.
Transfer ROM: Re-connect your device to your PC and copy the crDroid Android 14 zip file to the internal storage or SD card.
Flash ROM: Go to Install, select the crDroid zip file, and Swipe to Confirm Flash.
Reboot: Once flashing is complete, press Reboot System. (The first boot will take 4-5 minutes or more!)
Part 4: First Boot & Review ✨
Initial Setup: Go through the Android 14 setup process.
Feature Check: Confirm core features are working:
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth ✅
Fingerprint Scanner ✅
Adaptive Brightness ✅
Final Steps: (If needed) Flash the GApps package separately using TWRP if you need the Play Store.
