An examination by an orthopedic traumatologist is primarily a conversation with the patient to obtain as much information as possible. Be prepared for the doctor to ask many questions about your well-being, your complaints, and the nature of your ailments. Don't hide any circumstances from the doctor, as this may prove important for further treatment. Prepare for a productive conversation!

If you have any relevant medical documentation, try to bring it with you (outpatient records, hospital discharge summaries, etc.).

"Traumatologists look with their hands." It's important for us to assess the condition of your joints, their mobility, and pain with movement, whether it's the knee, elbow, or shoulder joint. Therefore, try to dress in a way that allows the orthopedic traumatologist easy access to any part of your body. The doctor will then prescribe the necessary tests (this may include X-rays, ultrasound, CT scan, or MRI).
Please do not prescribe any tests for yourself before your appointment. Do not self-medicate! It is dangerous!
