3D Printed Vise Showdown: ASA, ABS & TPU in a Multi-Material Build!
In today’s video, I take you through the complete build and test of a fully functional 3D printed vise—perfect for cosplay and DIY tool enthusiasts! I’ve used a multi-material approach: the main body is printed in ASA for its exceptional strength and UV resistance, the rods and threads are made from ABS for extra durability, and I’ve incorporated TPU as padding to ensure a superior, non-slip grip.
Watch as I guide you through each step of the process—from loading and slicing the files in Bambu Studio to printing each component and assembling the vise on my workbench. Then, I put the vise to the test by clamping various objects to see which material combination performs best under pressure.
