State Duma Deputy and Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy Sergei Boyarsky spoke during "Election Night" at the St. Petersburg Media Center.
Boyarsky stated that United Russia performed well and also discussed the reasons for the party's results and the high voter turnout.
"The more pressure they put on us, the more they get in return. It's a classic case of pressure. This time, they overdid it," the deputy said.
He also discussed the upcoming work of the new State Duma, the review of the federal budget, and emphasized that the deputies "don't have time to get going."
