Eid Mubarak and I hope you all had a beautiful Ramadan 🎉🤍
Today I have an Eid Kahk video for you all ! This is my mums recipe and it is originated from Egypt 🇪🇬
Ingredients :
1kg flour
500g ghee
2 tbsp powdered sugar
1 tbsp Cake spice
Pinch of salt
1 tbsp yeast
2 tbsp sesame seeds
200ml warm milk
1. *Prepare Dry Ingredients:*
Add the following dry ingredients into a mixing bowl:
Flour
Powdered sugar
Sesame seeds
cake spice
Mix all the dry ingredients well.
2. *Incorporate Ghee:*
add all the ghee into the dry ingredients mixture.
Mix on low speed for 5 to 10 minutes until the flour is fully incorporated and the mixture reaches a creamy consistency.
3. *Prepare Filling:*
Prepare dates and Turkish delight for filling.
Shape the dough into round balls using the palm of your hands.
Flatten the dough balls and place the filling in the center.
Close the dough around the filling to seal it.
4. *Bake:*
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Place the filled dough balls on a baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
5. *Finishing Touches:*
Once baked, remove the Eid Kahk from the oven.
Dust the tops of the Ka’ak with powdered sugar.
Serve and enjoy your delicious Eid Kahk
