Due to health problems, Victoire Delorme, a schoolteacher, moves with her husband Samuel and their two children to a small village in the south of France. On the first day of school, a handsome man in his forties calls out to Victoire. The man is none other than Florent Malléval, Victoire's first love. They are both married, but the flame they thought had died out reignites with an intensity that overwhelms them.
