Hey friends, in today's short video, I'll show you multiple ways to add icons in Figma completely free. Whether you're designing UI, presentations, or social media graphics, icons add visual clarity and professional polish—and you don't need to spend a dime!

We'll cover four easy methods:

Method 1: Figma Resources (Built-in)

Open the Assets panel in the left sidebar

Browse the "Resources" tab for free icons and UI kits

Drag and drop directly into your design

Method 2: Community Files

Click the Figma logo (top-left) and go to "Community"

Search for "free icons" or specific keywords like "free UI icons"

Duplicate community files to your drafts and copy icons from there

Method 3: Plugins (Best Method!)

Right-click on canvas, go to Plugins, then Manage Plugins

Search and install free icon plugins:

Iconify (thousands of open-source icons)

Feather Icons (minimal, clean icons)

Material Symbols (Google's official icon set)

Font Awesome Icons

Open plugin, search for any icon, and click to insert

Method 4: Import SVGs

Download free SVG icons from websites like:

FontAwesome.com

FeatherIcons.com

Google Fonts Icons

Bootstrap Icons

Drag SVG files directly into Figma or use File, then Place Image

Pro Tips:

All icons inserted via plugins or SVGs are fully vector—resize infinitely without quality loss

Change colors instantly by selecting the icon and adjusting the Fill property

Create an "Icons" page in your file to store frequently used icons

Use the "Swap Instance" feature to quickly replace one icon with another while keeping positioning
