The RuNet is in a state of panic, hysteria, and euphoria all at once. Putinists are celebrating their victory, recalling the mantra "Trump is ours," and preparing for the return of American companies to Russia. Russian political émigrés are despairing, calling Trump a traitor and fearing that they and Putin will divide the world, split Europe, and plunder Ukraine. Today, I will disappoint the former and somewhat reassure the latter. There will be no bromance between Trump and Putin, no new "Yalta" where the leaders of Russia and America will divide the world, just as there will be no collapse of America, similar to the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, as the Kremlin so passionately dreams of.
