FG Approves ₦10 Billion for HIV Drugs, Diabetes Kits and Hospital Upgrades
The Federal Executive Council has approved over ₦10 billion for the purchase of anti-retroviral drugs for people living with HIV/AIDS, locally manufactured test kits, and glucose monitoring devices for diabetes patients.
Additionally, funds were approved for high-end equipment and renovation works at the Ahmadu Bello Teaching Hospital in Bauchi. Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Ali Pate, emphasised the Nigerian government's commitment to improving the health sector during a briefing in Abuja.
