Tribute to Sergei Polunin- I Won't Dance
Sergei Polunin (born Sergei Vladimirovich Polunin on November 20, 1989)- is a Ukrainian-born multi-awarded, highly talented gymnast and ballet dancer. He is considered as the successor of Rudolph Nureyev and Michael Baryshnikov. He is also an actor, a choreographer, a mentor, a model and a philanthropist. He is the most significant male ballet dancer of his generation .
I Won't Dance is a 1934 jazz standard song with music by Jerome Kern, that has 2 different sets of lyrics. The first was written by Oscar Hammerstein II and Otto Harbach in 1934. The second was written by Dorothy Fields (though Jimmy McHugh was also credited), in 1935 .
N.B. I changed 2 lines and a few words of the song to fit Sergei, who is the muse of my video .
