Recording Elsword with OBS Multiplatform

Elsword's a finicky game to record, and video recording isn't the simplest thing in the world: in this video, I'll walk you through my standard setup. This isn't meant to be a comprehensive guide, but instead, a starting point for good-quality recordings: do your own research and optimize the setup to fit your needs!

Q: My Game Capture doesn't work!
A: Game Capture only works when recording from the NA client. Blame KOG.
Q: My Game Capture still doesn't work!
A: Double-check that you ran as administrator, even if you're the only user on your PC.
Q: My Game Capture STILL doesn't work!
A: If you have a multi-GPU system (many laptops do), make sure that both programs are running on the same GPU.
Q: Why do we have to change all these settings?
A: OBS is set up for streaming by default, and aims to cram as much quality as it can into a set bitrate. We want it to use as much data as it needs for a set quality.
Q: What settings should I use for streaming, then?
A: In this tutorial, we make a lot of changes to the "Output" section. Instead of using the settings that I recommend, if you're streaming, stick to the settings suggested by your streaming service! This is a complex topic and I can't cover it in just a few lines, but there's plenty of information out there.
Q: There's no audio!
A: Double-check that you have audio sources in your mixer and that they're not muted. Also, try a different player, like MPC-HC or VLC.
Q: When I import my video into Vegas, the audio tracks don't show up.
A: I have absolutely no idea how to reproduce this (my audio works in Vegas just fine), but a workaround that's worked for some others is to record as FLV, not MP4 (Settings→Output→Recording). Then, when you want to edit a video, use File→Remux Recordings to convert it to MP4.
