In Microsoft Excel, pressing Ctrl+8 toggles the display of outline symbols in a worksheet.

Behavior:
If outline symbols are hidden: Pressing Ctrl+8 will show them.
If outline symbols are visible: Pressing Ctrl+8 will hide them.
What are Outline Symbols?
Outline symbols are used in grouped data to display or collapse rows and columns. They appear as small plus (+) or minus (−) signs in the margin, allowing you to expand or collapse grouped sections of your worksheet.

This shortcut is helpful when working with grouped data or outlines in Excel. If your worksheet doesn't have grouped data, the shortcut won't have any visible effect.
