Tired of renting servers? In this technical guide, I’ll show you exactly how to set up your own dedicated server for Project Zomboid Stable Version 42.20 on a Windows OS!

Ran the Unstable version 42.13 dedicated server before the stable version? You will run into an issue of not being able to join your server nor anyone else.
🚨!WARNING!🚨 THIS WILL RESET YOUR WORLD/MAP DATA FOR A FRESH START, WHICH IS RECOMMENDED ANYWAYS UNLESS YOU PLAN TO FINISH THE UNSTABLE VERSION..
Steps to resolve:
1. Stop the server completely.
2. On your Dedicated Server, Delete the entire folder at:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Zomboid\Saves\Multiplayer\servertest\
3. Start the server. It will generate a brand new world save and a fresh WorldDictionary.bin aligned with Build 42.20.
