In this video, I’ll show you how to disable the immobilizer (IMMO OFF) on a Bosch EDC15 VM+ ECU using the UPA 1.3 programmer.
This is a quick and proven method if:
You’ve lost the key
You’re swapping the ECU
You need to fix an IMMO-related issue
Tools needed:
UPA USB Programmer v1.3 (used for reading, editing and writing EEPROM)
Bosch EDC15 VM+ ECU
Soldering iron or hot air station (duvalica)
Procedure:
Read EEPROM via UPA
Edit the dump directly in UPA software
Write the modified file back to the ECU
