How to remove an object from a photo and/or image quickly using Photoshop CC in 4 easy steps..
Need to remove something from a picture? Maybe you are asking yourself: How do I remove this or that from my photo?
Since I was first introduced to Photoshop many years ago, this task has gotten to be so simple now!
What we are going to do is use a feature called Fill with Content Aware. The way this tool works is Photoshop looks at the surrounding pixels to decide what should replace the object. It does a fantastic job at it too!
It’s so simple, that the instructions (below the video) will be fairly short!
4 Steps to Remove Anything From an Image
1) Select the Lasso tool (hotkey L).
2) Draw around the object you want to remove. Don’t worry about being too careful, you don’t have to get super close to the edge of the object.
3) If you are on the Background layer, all you have to do is press Delete (Mac).
4) Click OK in the Fill dialog window.
That’s it! The object should be gone! Photoshop’s Content Aware is smart enough to look at all the surrounding pixels and replace the object with what it feels should go there.
