Homemade vice with quick clamping of parts.
A bit of old metal: pipe, angle iron, flat and round bar, a couple of bolts, a few nuts, and three hours of work—the result is a convenient quick-clamping vise.
The base is a 22x25x2 mm pipe 220 mm long. The clamping device consists of a shackle (25x4 mm plate), M10 bolts, and a 29 mm diameter eccentric (4 mm eccentricity) with a welded handle made of 12 mm diameter rod.
The shackle has two holes for the eccentric axle, allowing for rough adjustment of the clamping size.
Fine adjustment is made with a nut.
The eccentric seat is welded from a 1" section of pipe and a pair of plates (front and back) made of 4 mm thick flat bar.
The clamping width is adjusted using an M16 stud, which fits freely into the pipe 1/2" deep.
The maximum width of the workpiece is 95 mm.
The main area of application is welding and metalworking with profile metal products and pipes.
